Do you like the pool Ford? Yes or No

Ford on our first visit to the pool in the morning.

I am not getting up from my chair.

Ford was invited to a pool party on Saturday morning. He was so scared of the water and would only sit and watch the other children play. He cried if you tried to move him from his chair. Finally when Daddy got to the party, he got enough nerve to walk around the baby splash pool. He would not touch the water. We took him home for his afternoon nap. He was so tired that he almost fell asleep in Daddy's arm when he was walking up the stairs. Later that day, we took him back to the pool and he loved it. He loved getting wet with the splashing water at the baby pool. I guess he was so tired this morning that he didn't have the energy to get in the pool. Yeah, I was worried he wasn't going to enjoy the pool all summer.

Columbia Zoo

We went to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. We had such a great time even though our little buddy only took a 45 minute nap on the way down to the zoo. He usually naps for at least 1 1/2 hours everyday. He was a little bit cranky at first, but after about 30 minutes he was better. He enjoyed riding in the stroller the best instead the backpack. The zoo is exciting for children and adults. We got to see so many different types of animals. It was memorial day weekend, so the zoo was extra crowded. It was fun to people watch too. It look like it was going to rain the whole day, but we only got a short rain shower for about ten minutes. Luckily, we were under a hut when it started to rain, so we didn't get wet at all. Ford enjoyed waving to all the animals. He even told the bears and fish hi by saying "Hey Bear" and "Hey Fish."

Ford is playing with the lizard.

He wanted to touch and hug it.

I think he thought it was real because he would not sit on it.

He wanted to pet it.

And squeeze it.

Ford was too funny. He likes to hang his foot out the side of the stroller.

Oh, what pretty birds.

Lions, Tigers and Bears, Oh My. I see a lion.

F ord loved watching the animals in the water the best.

Ford eating his favorite snack, french fries.

We decided to put him in the backpack so he could see the animals better. He liked it for a few minutes.

Ford eating a snack and watching animals.

Ford decided he didn't want to be in the backpack anymore. He started pulling my hair. OH, that did not feel good at all. He is a very strong 17 month old baby. I didn't try that again for the rest of the day.

Ford loved watching the monkeys swing from the trees. . He wanted to get out of his stroller and get inside the cage with them.

Elephants were huge. They look like they need a good bath because they were dirty.

The Gorilla is walking. It sure is big and scary looking.

The gorilla sitting down. I would hate to meet this animal in the woods.

A seal in the water. Ford enjoyed watching the animals in the water the best.

The seal coming up for some air.

Mandy , Ford and the Bear. Ford enjoyed watching the bears. It was the first animal that we saw when we came into the park. He was still very tired because of his short nap in the car. He refused to take the passy out of his mouth. He waved to the bear and said "Hey Bear."

MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND

Mimi, Ford, Harris and Lucy. Who is going to get Ford's passy?
Eating lunch at City Tavern for Mother's Day.

Mimi loves her grandkids.

Ford did really well at lunch considering that he sat through church and didn't have a nap.

Lucy and Harris love playing with Ford.

Harris taking a rest.

Ford, Lucy and Harris. It is hard to get a good picture with three kids. I think this one is pretty cute. At least everyone is looking at the camera.

Oh, crazy little Harris.

Lucy and Ford. Lucy sure looks like Aunt Dawn in this picture. Most of the time I think she looks just like a Little Jon, but not in this pic.

What a cute brother and sister picture. I love it!! I know they are excited about the new baby Sally coming soon.

Ford and Harris hugging.
Ford really enjoyed playing with his cousin in the sprinklers. He loved their playhouse. He had so much fun opening the windows and doors. He loved it when Lucy would spray him with the hose.

WHAT A WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND!
Here are some of my favorite Quotes about Mothers.
A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. ~Tenneva Jordan
Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs in my field, since the payment is pure love. ~Mildred B. Vermont

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.
"God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers." -- Jewish proverb
